00:01:20
Speaker 3: Right.
00:01:20
Speaker 2: Shoot.
00:01:21
Speaker 1: Had an amazing time.
00:01:22
Speaker 2: Y'all, six days. Do you hear me? First of all, I was scared because it was my very first cruise. So I met so many people that it was not their first cruise, but I met a handful where it was.
00:01:32
Speaker 1: Come on now. So let's get it.
00:01:33
Speaker 3: Perfect Prayer Podcast starts absolutely right now.
00:01:38
Speaker 2: Right now.
00:01:44
Speaker 1: All right. So where do you want to start?
00:01:45
Speaker 3: Because we was on the water for technically six days, seven, six or seven days.
00:01:51
Speaker 2: Yeah. Six or seven days.
00:01:53
Speaker 1: So take us through day one, because this is your first cruise.
00:01:56
Speaker 3: Right. And you always thought that it was going to be just wobbly and shaky and.
00:02:02
Speaker 1: And all that.
00:02:02
Speaker 3: I don't even think you knew we pushed away from the dock.
00:02:06
Speaker 2: Well, first of all, I didn't know because Ricky made sure I knew he was pushing away from the boat because he wanted me to see out there because he knew it was my very first cruise, too. So he was like, Crystal, don't be scared. Get out there and let's just see the boat move and do what it do. So I didn't know we had pulled off, though. And Ricky had called me. He was like, hey, hey, hey, hurry. We're pulling off so I can go outside. So as we were pulling off, I was like, oh, my God. It is happening. I said, oh, that water. I was like, oh, Jesus, be with me.
00:02:38
Speaker 1: Come on.
00:02:39
Speaker 3: Let me tell you something. But it's beautiful, man. When you get out in the middle of that ocean and you don't see nothing but water. And no land.
00:02:45
Speaker 1: Right. That's peaceful to me.
00:02:47
Speaker 2: It is beautiful. But have y'all ever walked out on a balcony at nighttime in that water out there? First of all, all I could do was peep my head out the window. I couldn't even get my whole body outside because I was scared because it just seemed like it was a little bit too much for me at night. But throughout the day, it was beautiful. I loved being out there. And I was asking Gary, hey, Gary, you been out on your balcony? He was like, hell no. I ain't been on no damn balcony. And he was like, because every time he's on the balcony, he feels the urge to jump. And, like, it's a word for that, that people do that. Like, when they get in high places, that they have the urge that they just want to jump.
00:03:26
Speaker 1: Right.
00:03:27
Speaker 2: I said, then you keep your ass from over that balcony, because.
00:03:30
Speaker 1: We need you here. I ain't never had that doggone urge myself, man. But I just like.
00:03:35
Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you said you had.
00:03:36
Speaker 1: No, no. I like my life.
00:03:40
Speaker 2: It's not that he he doesn't like his life. It's literally a thing. Like, see, Rocky, the fact that when he don't experience shit, he always make it seem like, well, that ain't with me. I like my life. It's not that he doesn't like his life. It's a it's something that makes you want to just jump because you're so high because you just. You can't contain yourself. You don't want to die. Gary doesn't want to die.
00:04:04
Speaker 1: Right, right.
00:04:05
Speaker 2: He just has the urge to jump. I don't know. I have to look up the word.
00:04:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to educate me on that one because that's the first time I'm hearing about that.
00:04:11
Speaker 2: No, it's not. First of all, even K told you too, babe.
00:04:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, but that was my first time hearing about it even when he was talking about it. Like, I ain't never heard that if you are, I heard of if you afraid of heights.
00:04:24
Speaker 1: That's one thing.
00:04:24
Speaker 3: But even if you're afraid of heights, the first thing that your mind is like, oh, let me get down from here.
00:04:29
Speaker 1: I got to get back to lower ground.
00:04:30
Speaker 3: I ain't never heard that once you get out on the edge of a boat or building or something that some voice is saying jump like unless.
00:04:39
Speaker 2: It's not like a voice. You just kind of like your body saying jump. Like, don't stand right here. Jump.
00:04:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to educate me on that a little bit more because that don't even make sense in my head.
00:04:50
Speaker 2: Right. But it's real. Right. It's a real thing. Other than that. Gary, I mean, Gary, me, I never had the urge to jump. I was just scared because it was just too much for me. But I love the water. And, babe, the boat did start rocking. But the second day we were there.
00:05:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, there was some rough waters out there.
00:05:10
Speaker 2: Yes, because it was so much. But it wasn't like what I thought it would be. I thought the boat would be like, whoa, we're supposed to lose our life type things. You know what? Because I was scared. I found... I didn't find where our life jackets were because I thought we needed to pack our own because Titanic, they didn't have enough for everybody. They didn't have enough of them little boats. They didn't have enough of anything and they was not trying to make sure everybody is safe on this boat. Rocky looked over there and told me, well, we know this boat is ours.
00:05:40
Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
00:05:40
Speaker 3: Because there was a boat like right outside our balcony and then I started counting and say, oh, there's a sign that says each of these.
00:05:46
Speaker 1: Boats hold like 150 people. I'm like.
00:05:48
Speaker 3: Oh, we good then, because I was counting all the boats.
00:05:51
Speaker 2: He said we good. I just wanted to make sure we had what we needed to have and did what we needed to do just in case this boat wanted to act a fool. But so with the rough waters that second day, I mean, it just felt like you was kind of. dizzy. I was like, I feel a little off. I didn't know if I was getting motion sickness or what. It just, it was just from the boat rocking back and forth. And I wasn't sick. It was just like different.
00:06:18
Speaker 1: Now admit it. By day two, you was like, I almost forgot you was on a boat.
00:06:23
Speaker 2: Day three, I forgot I was on a boat. Not day two. Okay. Day two, I still knew we was on that damn boat and some water. But day three, I was like, oh. I woke up like, dang, we are on this boat right now. Because we kept our window, not our window, like our shades open. So when we did wake up, you see the water. So when I would wake up and see that water, I'm like, whoo.
00:06:49
Speaker 1: Come on, man.
00:06:51
Speaker 2: It is beautiful. I loved it.
00:06:52
Speaker 1: Serenity. It was serenity, man.
00:06:54
Speaker 2: It was.
00:06:54
Speaker 1: So all of the entertainment that was on, Da Brat showed out. Listen.
00:07:02
Speaker 2: Pause on Da Brat, okay? Da Brat is part of the morning show. Cool. She family. She friends. She whatever. Listen. Brat did not know this. She found out this week. That I am a Bonafide fan.
00:07:17
Speaker 1: We all are.
00:07:18
Speaker 2: Like, no, for real, the whole morning show is literally, they were fanning out. We could not wait for Da Brat to take the stage. Come on. When I say everybody, the whole morning show, all the spouses, everybody, we were so excited to see this woman perform.
00:07:34
Speaker 3: Yes.
00:07:34
Speaker 2: And it was like she just came out yesterday, how she performed and did her thing. Do you hear me?
00:07:42
Speaker 3: There's a reason why she the first female rapper to go platinum. And like you say, we work with Da Brat.
00:07:47
Speaker 1: She's our sister every single day. And it's like, but man, when she get into her.
00:07:53
Speaker 3: When she switches into the brat, like, I'm an artist now.
00:07:58
Speaker 1: Listen.
00:07:58
Speaker 3: And you put that mic on her hand, she get on that stage, man. You're literally like, yo, I work with this woman every single day, but we become straight fans, man.
00:08:10
Speaker 1: She turned the boat out.
00:08:12
Speaker 2: When she did that funk to fire, y'all know. First of all. That's my all-time fave, which is a lot of people. And when I say I know every word, I'm not playing.
00:08:24
Speaker 1: You would have thought she was rapping the doggone song.
00:08:27
Speaker 2: Okay, okay, because I would have taken a mic. Yes, indeed. Because I know Jermaine Dupri's part. I know her part. You know how you be ad-libbing here and there? That's exactly what I was doing. And Da Brat. didn't miss a beat. Come on. And then when she would do, she would also be making some of her, doing her rap, and then she cuts off the music.
00:08:50
Speaker 1: And just go straight acapella.
00:08:52
Speaker 2: But listen, she cuts it off and then cuts it back on. And she's still on the same beat. Cuts it off and then cuts it back on and still on the same beat. That is talent. Do you hear me? Not too many rappers can do that. That I know of, she is one of the coldest, if not one of the coldest rap artists I have ever met. Ever, ever seen performed.
00:09:15
Speaker 1: And let me tell you something, man.
00:09:16
Speaker 3: When you talking about cutting the music off and rapping and doing acapella, she was actually, she walked behind a DJ booth. Yes.
00:09:22
Speaker 1: DJ Jawline Sounds, the homie. Yes. DJ in her set. And she went back there like, I got this. Move DJ Jalion out the way.
00:09:30
Speaker 3: And she started doing her own mixing with her song. And she was, you know, fading it back and forth, cutting music on and off while she was still rapping behind the DJ booth.
00:09:39
Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, man, let's go. I didn't even have a mic in my hand. I dropped the mic and said, it's time to go. It's time to go.
00:09:44
Speaker 2: Okay. Okay. So that was a huge highlight for my trip.
00:09:50
Speaker 1: And then Doug E. Fresh.
00:09:52
Speaker 2: Doug E.
00:09:52
Speaker 1: Fresh kicked off the whole thing. He sure did.
00:09:55
Speaker 3: I don't care how many times you see Doug E. Fresh perform, it's like you're seeing him for the first time.
00:10:00
Speaker 2: Right.
00:10:00
Speaker 3: When I tell you a one-man show that it's like the first time you're seeing it every single time that you see it, it never gets old, the boy cold, man.
00:10:09
Speaker 2: Listen, I've seen Doug E. Fresh so many times, like in Essence, I've seen him at different parties. I've seen him in different concerts. And he does not miss a beat. He still, it's like he just came out yesterday.
00:10:23
Speaker 1: Come on, man.
00:10:25
Speaker 2: Like these artists are bonafide artists and they know what they doing. And so I'm glad that Virgin, y'all knew who to book and put on here because y'all know we would have booed some people. But everybody, when I say everybody, Everybody that performed on this cruise was amazing.
00:10:42
Speaker 1: And Teddy Riley, Teddy Riley still got it. Teddy Riley, y'all forget he can still dance. Listen. Teddy was out there jamming. He was dancing. Right, right. Oh, jam.
00:10:53
Speaker 2: Don't mess it up, babe.
00:10:54
Speaker 1: Teddy jam.
00:10:56
Speaker 2: Don't mess it up. Teddy killed it. He can still dance. I mean, yeah, all the performances was amazing. And I think karaoke.
00:11:06
Speaker 1: Ricky Smart is karaoke, man. He pulled out.
00:11:10
Speaker 3: So he did it a couple of times on day one. you know, we was out by the pool, right? So everybody at the pool deck on the top level doing karaoke. And he's always going to find something that's going to be a little bit extra funny. So he finds this lady, this woman, that's in her bathing suit, and he.
00:11:28
Speaker 1: Made her the....
00:11:31
Speaker 3: Swim in a pool while praise dancing at the same time to all the people that were singing songs.
00:11:36
Speaker 1: So it don't matter if the.
00:11:37
Speaker 3: Song was an upbeat song or a slow song. This woman was praise dancing the whole time.
00:11:42
Speaker 2: She was praise swimming.
00:11:44
Speaker 1: Praise swimming.
00:11:45
Speaker 2: Yeah, praise swimming. That's exactly what was happening.
00:11:48
Speaker 3: And then on the second day, guess who was the praise swimmer? LaToya Luckett.
00:11:54
Speaker 2: On the fourth day. You see how he said second day twice?
00:11:57
Speaker 1: We did two karaoke's. Right.
00:11:58
Speaker 2: So you did karaoke on the second day and then y'all did it on the fourth day.
00:12:02
Speaker 1: But I meant the second time we did karaoke.
00:12:04
Speaker 2: Oh, that's what you meant.
00:12:05
Speaker 1: That's what I meant. So maybe it didn't come out the way I want it to come out.
00:12:08
Speaker 2: It didn't. Because we listening to you.
00:12:10
Speaker 3: But Latoya was the praise pool dancer on the second karaoke.
00:12:15
Speaker 2: And then Ricky dove his crazy self in there to praise Swim With Her Too. So, I mean, everybody was having a good time. And Latoya Luckett, let me tell y'all about this lady. She is the sweetest, beautiful, funniest woman. Down to earth woman I've ever met in my life. She was down with everybody, taking pictures with everybody, mingling with everybody. Matter of fact, mostly all the celebrities did exactly that.
00:12:42
Speaker 1: Absolutely.
00:12:42
Speaker 2: They mingled with everybody, talked to everybody, took pictures with everybody. Nobody was really acting funny or nothing. Everybody was just like as one and as a family. Nobody was bigger than the next.
00:12:54
Speaker 1: That's what I loved. My favorite part of the entire cruise.
00:12:57
Speaker 2: I know. You better tell him. You better tell him. You better tell him. Tell him, babe.
00:13:07
Speaker 3: Me and my sugarplum honey-do-wop best friend to the end over here renewed our vows.
00:13:13
Speaker 1: We did, y'all.
00:13:14
Speaker 2: Look at that smile.
00:13:16
Speaker 1: Look at that smile.
00:13:17
Speaker 3: Cute.
00:13:17
Speaker 1: Cute.
00:13:19
Speaker 2: First of all, first of all, listen.
00:13:24
Speaker 1: Man, let me tell you. So you go first. You go first.
00:13:26
Speaker 2: Erica Campbell and her husband Warren, y'all are simply just so sweet. And I am so glad y'all did that because that's who officiated our vow renewal. We renewed our vows with 23 other couples.
00:13:40
Speaker 3: Man.
00:13:40
Speaker 2: Not just us. And we just thought, like, why not?
00:13:44
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:13:44
Speaker 2: That was why we did it. We were like, why not?
00:13:46
Speaker 3: Because we're going to do it when we get to the 25th. anniversary anyways. We already got that kind of plan, but we're like, you know what? Let's go ahead and do it.
00:13:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, so everybody that was married, it was People that were celebrating that, renewing their vows, is all from one year to 44 years. All these people that we just were renewing their vows. And when I tell y'all, people were coming dressed to impress. They had people that had the short sets together. You got people that had for real wedding gowns and the veil and suits. And then you had, you know, me and my husband look like we on the beach somewhere with our outfits.
00:14:25
Speaker 1: But we was cool though, Jack.
00:14:26
Speaker 3: Right?
00:14:27
Speaker 2: No, I'm just saying, like, everybody had, like, their own style how they wanted to renew their vows. And I thought, oh, my gosh, it's amazing. When I started to see who was starting to sing to us.
00:14:38
Speaker 3: Oh.
00:14:38
Speaker 1: Uh-oh.
00:14:39
Speaker 2: During the vow renewals. Y'all know Major. Yeah. Oh, my God.
00:14:44
Speaker 1: Major Cole, this is what?
00:14:45
Speaker 2: This is why I love you.
00:14:47
Speaker 1: I know I jacked that up. Yeah. Shout out to Major and Tony Terry.
00:14:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, and Tony Terry and Keith Swick.
00:14:54
Speaker 1: Come on, man.
00:14:54
Speaker 2: All three of these people performed for our vow renewal, and that was just, that blew my mind. Like, I was sincerely, like, I felt like it was happening, like, for the very first time. My heart started beating fast. I said, babe, why my heart's beating fast? Like, I'm walking up these stairs, and I'm like, is that? We're about to do it. We're about to do it. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. And then I was, like, trying to hold it together. They play our actual wedding song.
00:15:24
Speaker 1: That we got married to.
00:15:25
Speaker 2: For real, for real. By Eric Benet.
00:15:27
Speaker 1: And Tamiya.
00:15:28
Speaker 2: And Tamiya.
00:15:28
Speaker 1: Spend my life with you.
00:15:30
Speaker 2: Oh, when that went in, my lip was.
00:15:33
Speaker 2: I was trying hard to cry and tears just started coming down my little face. Okay.
00:15:40
Speaker 1: Oh man. But let me tell you something.
00:15:42
Speaker 3: When I started looking at this woman in her eyes and we were just kind of staring at each other as they were talking and doing the whole ceremony.
00:15:51
Speaker 2: Listen, that means he had no idea what anybody said because he was so mesmerized by my eyes.
00:15:56
Speaker 1: I didn't hear nothing.
00:15:58
Speaker 2: You for real? He didn't know?
00:15:59
Speaker 1: No.
00:15:59
Speaker 2: I was just playing. I love it.
00:16:02
Speaker 1: Because, I mean, everybody knows how I feel about you. And, you know, it's that moment.
00:16:08
Speaker 3: Just staring at you, looking at you in your eyes, and we're out in the middle of the ocean, so.
00:16:14
Speaker 1: You hear the water.
00:16:15
Speaker 3: It was like a perfect little setup, even though we're with 23 other couples.
00:16:20
Speaker 1: But that moment, it was just you and I.
00:16:22
Speaker 2: I was about to say, while we were doing the actual exchanging the vows, it literally felt like it was just you standing in front of me.
00:16:29
Speaker 1: Come on, man.
00:16:30
Speaker 2: And it was soâ and I felt like every other couple felt the same way as they were renewing their vows. So I think it's awesome that people want to renew their vows and do this and do it in a group setting. Because I know some people are like, why would y'all do that? This and that. I mean, listen, when I tell y'all it was beautiful, it was amazing, it was intimate, it was just us. We got to dance with our spouses, toast to our spouses.
00:16:56
Speaker 1: The whole time. Man, let me tell you something. So everyone was like, well, when are we going to see it? Go follow us. Perfect Pair Podcast, Instagram, Facebook.
00:17:08
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
00:17:08
Speaker 3: All that stuff, because the video is actually being edited right now, so it's going to be shared and posted probably, if not today, within the next day or two or whatever, so you guys can check it out and experience it.
00:17:19
Speaker 1: With us all over again.
00:17:20
Speaker 2: Yes, we can send our pictures out to owner as well.
00:17:23
Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
00:17:25
Speaker 3: Overall, One Voyage Cruise is off the chain, so make sure if y'all didn't get on it this time, get ready for the next year.
00:17:31
Speaker 2: I do want to say one other thing, what we did on the cruise, is that, you know, you go, they have different things that you can be involved in. You know, different sessions, people doing, you know, there was a play going on, there was people doing their podcast, you know, fireside chats and stuff. But I want to give a huge shout out to Latarius. Latarius.
00:17:53
Speaker 1: Latarius. Latarius.
00:17:55
Speaker 2: I call him Latarius.
00:17:56
Speaker 1: Latarius. Your new name is Latarius.
00:17:57
Speaker 2: I know. Sorry, Latarius. Sorry, sorry, sorry. And Ashley, the name I did get wrong is Ashley.
00:18:04
Speaker 1: That's right.
00:18:04
Speaker 2: Now, him and his beautiful wife were actually doing their podcast live, My Dear Future Wifey Podcast.
00:18:12
Speaker 1: Listen, if y'all ain't following that podcast, go follow it right now.
00:18:15
Speaker 2: We know y'all are, so y'all need to be going on there and liking the podcast live. live that they did on that cruise because that was simply amazing and a lot of gold a lot of things that you can take away from that and one thing that I love about them so much even towards the end they brought us up Just to, you know, give us our flowers with our podcast coming underneath the same umbrella as them. And when I say I just absolutely love that. I love the one we all can support one another, be there for one another. And they did exactly that. And it was so much fun, so much gold. And if y'all haven't, like he said. Follow my Dear Future Wifey podcast. Y'all need to do so.
00:19:00
Speaker 1: Absolutely, man.
00:19:01
Speaker 3: Absolutely. Matter of fact, we're going to have them on for an episode on the Perfect Pair podcast real soon.
00:19:06
Speaker 1: Doggone it. But babe, let me tell you something.
00:19:10
Speaker 3: Um, I felt very refreshed after we made it back to Miami, got off the boat.
00:19:16
Speaker 1: Um, Got on a plane, come on back home. I feel like a new man. Like, I don't know how you feel.
00:19:23
Speaker 3: No.
00:19:23
Speaker 1: I'm like, yes, I'm ready to take on the world.
00:19:25
Speaker 2: I didn't think I was going to be, I was going to have this much energy.
00:19:28
Speaker 3: I don't have any jet lag. I don't have any aftermath from the ocean.
00:19:32
Speaker 1: Like, nothing.
00:19:33
Speaker 2: I don't have any of that either. Even though I was still ready to get off that boat. I was. I'm being honest. I mean, six days is just a long time.
00:19:43
Speaker 3: Right.
00:19:43
Speaker 2: You know, and I just want to get back to my house in my own bed.
00:19:47
Speaker 1: There it is.
00:19:48
Speaker 2: It's just that simple. But other than that, I did feel like I was like, at first I was like, ooh, I know I'm going to be tired when I get home, when I do this and that. I kept waiting to being tired, but I wasn't. I haven't been, and we've been moving and moving and grooving as if nothing ever happened. So I appreciate the... The cruise, I appreciate you. We relax. We actually chill. We watch movies.
00:20:16
Speaker 1: Come on, man.
00:20:18
Speaker 2: Like, for the first time, I think this was our first trip.
00:20:21
Speaker 1: In a while, because weâ For just us.
00:20:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, because y'all know we've been moving 100 miles an hour with our kids because they're very active in sports and stuff.
00:20:28
Speaker 2: I was about to say, we travel a lot. Yeah, but it's with our kids. It's following them, flying out to see where they playing.
00:20:34
Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
00:20:35
Speaker 2: Supporting them, going here and there. And we still have, like, our date nights, of course, in between times and stuff. But when I tell you I don't remember the last time we had a trip for just us.
00:20:46
Speaker 1: And guess what?
00:20:47
Speaker 3: We just kick-started it because this is about to get ready to be on, Jack.
00:20:52
Speaker 1: Rock and Crystal, they always gone. That's right, dawg.
00:20:55
Speaker 2: And he is. And don't feel bad about it.
00:20:57
Speaker 3: And let's also shout-out to the live events that we've done. Y'all are going to see these as well.
00:21:02
Speaker 1: Oh.
00:21:03
Speaker 3: So we've done Perfect Pair Podcast live episodes with audiences and so on and other couples.
00:21:08
Speaker 2: Listen.
00:21:09
Speaker 3: So stay tuned. Y'all going to be seeing that. All the video and stuff is being edited right now, man. And we're going to keep doing those because you guys was asking us like, hey, do you guys ever do live podcast couples, date night type stuff?
00:21:21
Speaker 1: So, man, absolutely.
00:21:23
Speaker 2: We do. And we'd love to do that. We love to do dancing date night because I love to dance. I love line dancing. So those are one of our big, one of our big things that we do that everybody likes for us to do. And one thing, another thing I need to shout out somebody else.
00:21:37
Speaker 1: Go ahead.
00:21:38
Speaker 2: My friend from Kansas City, Miss Brenda.
00:21:41
Speaker 1: Man, let me tell you something. Go ahead.
00:21:43
Speaker 2: Let me tell you. We met her a few years back in Bimini when Ricky had his birthday bash there. And when I tell you she has always followed us, supported us, and liked our stuff. And she does so many things. And she was on this cruise. And she was like, I just love y'all. And she couldn't wait to run into us to give us a card just because of our anniversary. She was like she brought one last year, but we went on the cruise last year, which we wasn't. And then when she didn't get one this time, so she felt bad. And I'm like, no, the fact that you support us all the time and you're always willing to just say hi and give love. I just I just have to shout out. Brenda from Kansas City. We appreciate you. We love you. Everything that you do to support us. I just I can't say thank you enough.
00:22:41
Speaker 1: Thank you, man.
00:22:41
Speaker 3: For real, because you don't have just good old fashioned, genuine people that.
00:22:48
Speaker 1: Just care about you for no reason.
00:22:50
Speaker 3: Right. Nice.
00:22:50
Speaker 2: There's still some nice people out there. Yeah. And then, shout out to everybody that was putting a name with the face.
00:22:58
Speaker 3: Me.
00:22:58
Speaker 1: Especially her.
00:22:59
Speaker 2: And I kept getting people coming, I finally get to put a name with Crystal. Rock D talks about you all the time. When I tell y'all, thank y'all so much. That was so sweet of y'all. And yes, I am his better half, as y'all can tell. All day.
00:23:13
Speaker 3: Now, there's one thing that did not happen on the boat that I wish would have happened. Now, let's stick back and think. But it's not too late because we got next year. So there was a Halloween night, right? You dress up in your Halloween costume. Now, we both had costumes. And her costume, though, I was excited about because she was going to dress up as a deer.
00:23:33
Speaker 2: Yes, I was.
00:23:34
Speaker 3: Y'all know she does makeup, so she makes her face up to look like Bambi and all that good stuff.
00:23:39
Speaker 1: And she's got the little.
00:23:39
Speaker 3: Deer ears and the little deer outfit. But then there's one piece that came with the deer costume.
00:23:46
Speaker 2: I'm so glad I couldn't even put it on because of this one piece that he wanted to see and want everybody else to see.
00:23:52
Speaker 1: You're wearing it next year for Halloween. But it's the little furry bushy tail. I could just see her prancing around the boat with a little bushy tail. I was the hunter. So I'm the hunter that's hunting the deer.
00:24:06
Speaker 2: Well, I'm glad I didn't have enough time to put that damn costume on. You know what? Everybody was doing something on the boat, so I wanted to support everybody on the team. So it was just trying to space things out, and I didn't have enough time to put my whole costume together. And go to Special K's comedy show.
00:24:29
Speaker 1: Ooh, Special K ripped it to all the comics, man. DLS, Lord.
00:24:35
Speaker 2: And what's his name?
00:24:38
Speaker 1: Alton Walker. Yeah, Alton. Yes, indeed.
00:24:40
Speaker 2: All of y'all were so hilarious.
00:24:42
Speaker 1: Funny, man.
00:24:43
Speaker 2: Listen, I can't wait to see y'all perform again because I love me a good comedy show.
00:24:47
Speaker 1: Let me tell you something.
00:24:49
Speaker 2: So.
00:24:51
Speaker 1: I just lost my train of thought.
00:24:52
Speaker 2: And you talking about, let me tell you something.
00:24:54
Speaker 1: It popped in my head.
00:24:55
Speaker 2: Then it just left. It sure did.
00:24:59
Speaker 1: So if we decide to do a couple's retreat, right?
00:25:07
Speaker 3: Because we've been kind of, We've kind of been talking about doing this for a while. Oh, yeah.
00:25:11
Speaker 1: And the only reason why.
00:25:12
Speaker 3: We haven't just pulled the plug and say, let's do it, is because, man, we'd like to get all of you guys' thoughts and ideas about, okay, what does a couple's retreat look like to you?
00:25:24
Speaker 1: Like, how do you want it to... What do you want to see and happen and take place?
00:25:29
Speaker 3: And the reason why I bring that up is, is it another cruise or is it just a destination somewhere else? Do we keep doing the dancing date nights and we just kind of move them around from city to city?
00:25:42
Speaker 1: So we want to hear from you guys, though.
00:25:43
Speaker 3: Like, if you want us to come do a couple's date night in your city, What would you like to see happen?
00:25:50
Speaker 1: Is it a fireside chat with a little bit of dancing, music, DJing, that's it?
00:25:54
Speaker 3: Or is it a full-blown retreat over, like, two or three days at a nice hotel?
00:26:01
Speaker 1: There's so many ways that we can do it.
00:26:02
Speaker 3: We can do all of the above, but I really want to hear from the followers and the listeners on this.
00:26:07
Speaker 2: You see how he gave all those options? There's only one option that I want to go and throw out the door.
00:26:13
Speaker 1: What's that?
00:26:13
Speaker 2: And that's that cruise. I mean, I'm not supposed to, like... Again, I loved it. I had so much fun, and that's six days. That's six days. I don't know if I'm going to want to do that multiple times a year because that's six days.
00:26:33
Speaker 1: And it's good to switch it up and do it.
00:26:34
Speaker 2: I can't get past six days. I mean, I had a good time, but by that six days, I was ready. I was ready to go on about my business and get off that boat. And be done. Right. And I don't have to talk about it until next year. So the fact that this is a possibility of doing it again next year. Right. I don't want the Perfect Pair podcast to have a cruise on top of that, if that makes sense.
00:27:00
Speaker 1: I see what you're saying.
00:27:01
Speaker 3: Because the Perfect Pair podcast is probably going to be doing some more activations on the cruise next year.
00:27:05
Speaker 2: Right.
00:27:06
Speaker 1: So I feel you.
00:27:08
Speaker 2: Exactly.
00:27:08
Speaker 1: I'm with you on that.
00:27:09
Speaker 2: Okay. So all of my other ideas, I'm cool with. But again, like he said, we would like to hear from you guys and see what you would like. to see and how y'all see fit. Again, I think it's more so us dancing, date night, fireside chat. Y'all ask us some questions. We get into it and we, we talk it out and we work it through it. And then when we want to do a retreat, it'd be like a two, three day whole, like maybe three, four day weekend type stuff where we figure out some stuff, what we're going to do throughout that weekend. That's make it worth your while to help bring couples back together, to bring the fun back into their marriages and, relationships, period. Just bring the fun back. Because one thing we kept getting a compliment about is, like, y'all really like each other. Like, low-key people thought they couldn't believe it.
00:27:56
Speaker 1: Exactly. Exactly. Like, they think that this is all made up.
00:28:01
Speaker 3: Everyone that follows and listens to the podcast, they know that we're the perfect pair of podcasts, not because we feel like we're perfect, But as we always say, we learn how to be perfect for each other. And we're in the space right now where you just matter of fact, I think you just named the next episode.
00:28:19
Speaker 1: Bring the fun back. Oh, yeah. That should be the name of the next episode.
00:28:22
Speaker 3: And we got to dive deep into that. Now that we recapped the cruise and everything.
00:28:26
Speaker 2: Let me write that down.
00:28:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, write that down. Bring the fun back is going to be the name of the next episode. And we finna go get in because some people say, well, you can't.
00:28:34
Speaker 1: Always just have fun. You're going to always have problems. You're going to argue. You're going to disagree. Okay, yes. But we're going to show you.
00:28:42
Speaker 3: How we deal with those moments when you're not on the same page. And it There's no reason why you shouldn't be always having fun with each other every single day, even when you're going through the rough times.
00:28:58
Speaker 1: And I'm saying that. Listen, I'm going to say it until I'm blue in the face.
00:29:02
Speaker 2: It's the way he say it, because Rocky say it in a sense of, to me, I feel like my husband say it where when he first would tell me that, it would make me look at him like, you done lost your mind. You know that shit ain't about to happen. But, oh, okay, if that's what you think. But it's not saying that, like, we're going to have tough times. And things are, of course, you're not going to be like, oh, happy-go-lucky, something bad just happened. It's more so of, hey, okay, instead of spazzing out, going left and being sad and being down or yelling or pissed off, off and this and that, it's more so, okay, like, how are we going to work through this? Like, what do we need to do to resolve it? Let's do X, Y, and Z. And if it takes us having that moment, have your moment. come back so we can reconvene and figure this stuff out so we can move past it and keep it moving. So that's what he means. I didn't understand that at first. And that's why I had a lot of pushback with him a lot. Because I'm like, you don't make sense. You're giving this Cinderella happy ever after feel, and that's not real. Or is it? But it is real, if it makes sense. Because once we started figuring, once I... started figuring out what it's like to have a healthy marriage. And yes, you need to argue. Y'all going to disagree. And you ain't going to like him all the time and her all the time. And they're going to get on your nerves half the time. And that's okay.
00:30:37
Speaker 1: But we learn.
00:30:38
Speaker 2: I don't care.
00:30:40
Speaker 1: Message.
00:30:42
Speaker 2: Shit, you see how fast? See, that fast.
00:30:44
Speaker 1: Hey, it work both ways, man.
00:30:47
Speaker 2: Right, but, you know, we're learning how to get through those situations faster, resolve situations, keep moving, finding ways to make it a happy medium and to help each other through, which I wish somebody would have taught us. especially right after having my son.
00:31:05
Speaker 1: Come on. Let me tell you something.
00:31:07
Speaker 3: So we're going to pause right there because we're going to dig deep in the next episode and break all this down because it can be Cinderella even during the tough times, even during the dark times, because everyone has the choice to decide do we want to stay here in this mud or do we want to climb our way up out of this bad boy so we can go to the white sand out there or whatever. So we're going to get into it. That's the next episode.
00:31:29
Speaker 1: On that note. Tell a friend to tell a friend, man. We appreciate you guys.
00:31:34
